Keeping The Children Safe.
Our ICT solution protects the safety of students in schools, around using computers for learning by:
- Implementing a zero-tolerance approach to stigma, prejudice and bullying of students by other students, members of staff, members of the community, or online by other cyber-network users
- Detecting keystrokes about topics related to drugs, abuse, bullying, mature content and other ‘risk indicator’ topics
- Detecting attempts to access untoward websites like those about cyber-bullying, drugs, abuse, alcohol and mature content, among other topics. Such access attempts are logged and immediately transmitted to designated staff members with full details of content accessed and identity of the user, thus, triggering the provision of safeguarding support as appropriate
- Allowing students, when in distress, to send real-time safeguarding support request messages to designated staff members
- Facilitate non-judgmental and non-prejudiced support provision to students, by well-trained Safeguarding agents
- Training of staff members in top-class ‘Child Safeguarding’ courses that are renewed every year. Certification in these courses is mandatory for staff members who serve as designated child safeguarding agents in schools
- Frequent audits are conducted to evaluate child safeguarding agents’ rates of detecting child safeguarding needs in students, and providing support; as well as responding to safeguarding requests initiated by students in distress
